
Carrie Brockwell got her start early, performing in musical theatre shows in the Richmond, Virginia area – most notably the title role in the mainstage production of “Annie” at age 11.
In November of 2021 at age 15, Carrie independently released her first self-written EP “Impressions”, receiving song placement on several national podcasts and also earned “EP of the Year” from the Josie Music Association. Carrie’s in-person 2022 American Idol audition in Austin, Texas for Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie impressed the judges enough to award Carrie a ‘Golden Ticket’ to Hollywood. At the age of 16 Carrie headlined her first benefit concert selling out the Jimmy Dean Theater (400 seats) in Chester, Virginia raising $10,000 for Runway to Life and the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education. In October of 2022 Carrie made her Nashville debut performing at JMA Fest and then played in the Grand Ole Opry House (studio A) for the Josie Music Awards. In October of 2023 Carrie independently released her second EP titled “Dear Nashville” which was named Female/Country Album of the Year by the Josie Music Association. Carrie has released five single’s which will be included on her upcoming LP to be released in early 2025. The single “Ever Stop Loving You”, which will be on the upcoming LP, made its way to number 3 on iHeart Radio’s aBreak58 playlist. Carrie has performed on WSM 650 AM, the radio home of the Grand Ole Opry and her single “Not Your Forever Home” was featured by the Grand Ole Opry’s “Whiskey Riff” media outlet. Carrie’s single “Find A Way’,a co-write with Grammy nominated songwriter Christian Stalnecker, was released in September of 2024, and reviewed by MusicRow Magazine where Carrie was characterized as “a heart-in-throat vocalist of assured ability and startlingly accomplished for a teen talent.” The magazine gave her the “Newcomer Discovery Award” for songs released that week. “Find A Way” climbed to number 8 on iHeart Radio’s aBreak58 playlist. In the fall of 2024 Carrie made her debut at Nashville’s iconic Blue Bird Café in a show featuring and hosted by Country Music Hall of Fame songwriter Victoria Shaw. Carrie was the featured vocalist in the Richmond Symphony’s “Let It Snow” annual Christmas show which was held in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Carpenter Theater at the Dominion Energy Center.
In January of 2025 Carrie made her second appearance on WSM Radio on the “On Air with Eryn” show alongside Hall of Fame songwriter Victoria Shaw. Her single “Things Are Getting Good” was premiered during that show. “Things Are Getting Good” later climbed to number 4 on iHeart Radio’s aBreak58 playlist.
Carrie is a freshman in the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She continues her philanthropic work by most recently performing at a fundraising event for middle Tennessee’s Boys and Girls Club and participating in Sing Me a Story Foundation’s “Songs for Kids in Need.” Carrie is currently under an artist development deal with Nashville-based PCG Worldwide and distributes her music through United Masters.
